Unpredictable

Anyone who is a Madeira regular will not be surprised by this blip. Winds. Airport…….yes. 

Jet2 have been so helpful. They know we won’t be able to land at the usual time, so they’ve been sending messages and emails to tell us about our new departure time. ( just an aside. A friend who booked via a travel agent didn’t get the alerts as they went on the Sunday to the agent).

Icy morning. Frozen bird bath. The feathered gang were glad when I’d defrosted it all. This chubby chaffinch was sensibly patient.

The blip I missed. A rather pushy magpie landed and went for a drink. He (or she) hadn’t realised I’d put hot water in……I wish I’d filmed his rapid take off……

Let’s hope we have a safe take off and landing when it is time.
