Sgwarnog: In the Field

17yo and I had a Sunday outing into Leeds where we did our usual circuit of galleries, cafés and shops.

We visited four current temporary exhibitions: Curtis Holder’s ‘Silent Echoes, Spoken Truths’ at Leeds Art Gallery; ‘The Traumatic Surreal’ and ‘Sculpture Photographed’ at the Henry Moore Institute next door and a special exhibition celebrating the work of Dick Bruna for the 70th birthday of his most famous creation,  Miffy, at the Museum across the road. They were all good and I’d particularly recommend the Miffy, but probably not this week as it is half-term.

The Valentine’s Fair was still in full swing, and this traction engine was parked up in front of the museum steps adding to the fun.
