Blip Meet

Didn't know it at the time! Met up with brother-in-law, and later to be fellow Bliper @PurbeckDavid49 together with his wife Lisa and a longtime family friend of theirs who I had also met back in early 1980s.

David had done a school exchange with Irma (I`m not sure of the name anymore) and her husband's two children back in early 60's. This turned into a close friendship, David later returning to do some work experience at the husband's company, Munich Re,.where he was on the board. Then David studied at Munich University for some time. Back around 1982, I and family, stayed with their daughter's family in Munich for a few days.

We met up at the Seehaus in the English Garden in Munich, close to Irma's house. Lovely Day.sitting next to the lake & enjoying a beer (shandy!)

The photo was taken by David, but I've checked to see he hasn't posted it. Sadly, writing this in 2025, David hasn't been able to blip for a few years due to health issues. Such a shame as he was always such a keen photographer.
