For those of you who have asked and wondered, I found out about Blipfoto from a past friend of mine who had an account here back in October 2006 (she no longer updates). She found out about it from a friend/sibling of hers who resided in Scotland/England/whereabouts it began. At the time I joined, there were only about forty or so members. I never expected it become so popular among my friends, their friends, your friends, their friends, and so on!
Thank you to all the subscribers I've had over the years, for your support. Thank you to those who have left me encouraging comments when I've been down, and cheers when I've been up. Thank you, Joe, for setting up and expanding this awesome community. Thank you to everyone who keeps it the friendly, wonderful place it is. I treasure each and everyone one of you. This place has become a huge part of my life for the past two and a half years.
My photos have been mostly a journalistic collection of my day to day activities, joys, heartaches, frustrations, achievements, silliness, friends, etc. Although my photos are not as professional, wonderful, and creative as many of the elite blippers here, I'm glad I am able to look through all of them with pride. I am also glad I have been able to entertain and interest you all this time!
Sadly, I don't have a lot of time these days to devote to Blipfoto. Some of you have probably noticed my lack of comments or effort into a photo lately (I wished I could have done something more extravagant for today, too). I've also felt discouraged since both my SLR lens have been broken for awhile and I can't afford a new one just yet. I am considering just updating on occasion instead of every day. I've had the mindset to find a blip every day, though, so I'm not even sure if I will actually stop the daily updates. We'll see how it goes. I don't plan to ever completely stop -- and I look forward to looking back through my journal years from now.
I have to admit, I love being that strange girl that takes random photographs of the most ordinary (or weird) things whenever I feel like it. :D
I'm proud I managed to make it 1,000 days straight, though! :)
Again, thank you, Blipfoto.
WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Love,
Laura
