Sun and Steam

Yay, it's finally been a lovely sunny day. I walked into town first thing, and then drove to the station to take a photo of the steam engine, the trains are running for half term. I was intending to do a mono photo for Mono Monday, but how could I resist posting a photo of the engine against that gorgeous blue sky! I have added a photo to extras that I was thinking of using for the Mono ugly theme if you wanted to have a look (I find the steam and metal fascinating, but lots of people would think them ugly). Although it was beautiful out, it was still very cold. I spent a couple of hours in the garden cutting back the top of my long pyracantha hedge, but had to do it in three stints with gaps between to warm up! Now the field  boundary is being made secure, I don't need the hedge to be as high for security purposes.
