Yegua

I seem to have spent the whole day saying hello to the neighbours and gossiping which is lovely of course. People tell me I must have been away for ages when it's only two months but there is so much to catch up on. And it's rained so much and that in a rural community is always worth talking about.

Here is young Franciso's new mare and what a beauty! She had just had her fringe combed!

The wild plants weeds are everywhere and need clearing. There is loads of sweeping to do around the patio and slushy dead leaves around the fig trees. It is sunny and warm during the day so doing outdoor tasks is rather nice. In the evenings we have the log fire going just to keep it cosy and the chill off the air.
