Berlin

Today I left dull and cold Penicuik for bright and freezing Berlin. A have me a lift to the airport, where I met up with PhD student B. In Berlin we took the S-Bahn into the centre, where B got off to change to a U-Bahn. There had been a pretty sunset on the journey, so I was pleased to snatch this just before getting off the train at Tempelhof, before dropping down to street level. It was a short walk to my hotel.

This evening we meet up for dinner with folk from the Zuse Institute, two of whom we'll be working with this week.
