Mono Monday - Ugly

This was an interesting challenge as I guess 'ugliness' as much as 'beauty' is in the eye of the beholder. However, one of the elements of ugliness that faces me most days is when I take, Megan , our dog alongside the Hedderwick Plantation in John Muir Country Park which was ravaged by Storm Arwen two and a half years ago. Most of the fallen trees were removed some time ago but their upturned root systems still litter the denuded forest. The roots must be the life blood of any trees but exposed to the open air they are a clutter of ugliness.
