Seriously?

Hullbridge

Bro and I went for a car ride this afternoon, around Hockley and Hullbridge which is nestled along the shores of the River Crouch that flows through Essex from the North Sea. On occasion, we do like to drive around our county together, usually on a nostalgic 'those were the halcyon days of our youth' sojourns, but today we were curious to visit this area as, although we both know the  other side of the river - Maldon, Burnham-on-crouch, etc, we are not so familiar with the Southend side, even though we both have friends here.  Parking momentarily by the water, the swans were excited by a couple of young girls who had some food for them. Blip!!

We even had an idle conversation about how nice it might be to live in this area. I don't suppose we'll do anything about it, but it was enjoyable to drive around on this sunny (but cold) afternoon and chat about what had been  and what could be.

The River Crouch is a small river that flows entirely through the English county of Essex. The distance of the Navigation between Holliwell Point which is north of Foulness Island and Battlesbridge is 17.5 Miles, i.e. 15.21 Nautical Miles.Wikipedia
