Celebrating Nine Years

We can't quite believe that today marks nine years since the community of Blipfoto banded together to buy the website from its previous owners. This was no small feat and it was only made possible because of the amazing membership and friends of the site. 

A key thing to know for those that have joined since 2016 is the community owns this site themselves. Our main income is from paid memberships that keep the servers running and development happening. A small group of unpaid volunteers manage the site on behalf of the community. If you’ve joined the site more recently and are enjoying it, and if you have not already done so, why not consider contributing to the continuing operation of the site by buying a membership.

Blipfoto is one of the friendliest places on the Internet and we think this is in no small part due to our belief that everyone should 'be excellent' to each other. We’re proud that we are still going strong after nine years of community ownership.
