Waning Crescent over Nobbys

When I was driving to Chalkys yesterday I noticed a rising moon. I used the Photographers Ephemeris to work out whether where I wanted to take the shot would show the moonrise. Very useful as it saved me a 20 drive to somewhere where I wouldn't have seen it.

Our new old Prime Minister yesterday announced a Federal election for 7 September 2013. The ads and now media coverage is full on. I wish I was elsewhere, preferably in another country.
