Ugly?

At least I manage to get out of the house with my camera today. It’s just a quick trip to RSPB Conwy, and at last there’s some sunshine brightening up the day. 

I’m not sure whether I really feel this crumpled leaf is ugly. It’s definitely not pretty in the conventional sense, but there’s something beautiful in its tenacious hold, a survivor of all the winter storms.

I’m afraid I’m generally only up to stars and hearts at the moment.
