Memories

I took my grandson, Matthew and his friend for coffee, in Newport today. Matthew will be 18 next month but when he was around 18 months old, this walkway was opened and the family was invited. It is named after our Dad, who was the last Mayor of Newport from 1973-4. Luckily our Mum was still alive to see this cut, which is near to where we lived, named after him. I wanted Matthew to be aware of it.
