Shaw Bank
When I started working in watercolours about 45 years ago I fell in love with a view I regularly saw on my forays with my caravan to Shoulthwaite Farm at the Eastern foot of Castlerigg Fell just south of Keswick. Eventually, one winters day (Feb 1982) I packed my paints etc and sat under a stone wall above the farm and completed the view with W&N paints on Bockingford paper. Not a remarkable result but anyone driving down the A591 may recognise the view.
