The curse is lifted
Today I had tickets to go see Cory Wong. This is the fourth time I've had tickets, but something has gotten in the way for each previous gig. First was the beast from the east, second was a work emergency, third I had a cold. I was half convinced that something was going to happen, but nothing did so I finally got to see the cat play his stuff in person! The picture is rubbish, but highly symbolic so that's the blip.
We'd heard through the grapevine that the Riverside museum had some fun Star Wars props in a guest exhibition, so planned and afternoon n town to go see them. Unfortunatley, it wasn't till aftewards that we realised they were props or in any way officially sanctioned and were just some models that ad been made by...someone...with no explanation. Needless to say, they didn't really add anything meaningful to the exhibits and next time we'll be more wary of things described as 'sci-fi galatics adventure' next time.
It did mean we had some more time before the gig so went and got some tasty food in the West End before heading back out to the Barras for the gig. The ballroom is a great venue and we were impressed with the price of the drinks - £1 for a half pint of something soft, which you can't really argue with!
Highlight of the night was definitley 'Grid Generation' which closed the end of the main set.
