With the weather forecast indicating blue sky and sunshine from late morning I made some sandwiches intending to sit in the park at Waterhead and have lunch, rather than wait until later to go out.

First a walk by the river where the mallards were all in pairs. There was a heron too but I couldn’t get a clear shot through the trees.

It was very cold and windy when I reached the lakeshore so instead of sitting on a bench I got half the sandwich out and ate as I walked. I had the rest at home.

For the first time in over three months I took the ‘big’ camera. Not sure if the photos were any better than the phone ones.
