Valentine Rose
The red roses that Len bought for me last week have survived well although beginning to look slightly shrivelled around the edges.
This morning the day dawned clear and a glorious golden light shone through the windows at sunrise. A little later, a shaft of sunlight found its way on to this rose. At least there wasn't a hard frost like there was yesterday morning.
Basil and I Cecilied to Open Church later on. Only Richard, the new churchwarden, Steven, the treasurer, and Colin were there. We admired the magnificent marble monuments and then Karen and David came in. They're new to Shepshed. Karen had been volunteering for everything to get herself out of the house which I discovered is just around the corner.
When Basil and I got back I finished the onion tart I'd cooked on Sunday and suddenly felt very tired. In fact, I felt rather tired after judging yesterday evening.
Haven't done much at all since then.
Must change the lens on the camera. This is still the Lensbaby Velvet 56. It's too soft for my taste.
