Flower (Day 3571)
The job I had booked for this morning was one I wasn't looking forward to. It was a repeat of a job I had done several years ago for a customer in Stromness when their immersion heater had failed. It had failed again, and I had been asked to replace it. Last time I found that I had to remove the cylinder from the cupboard to get the immersion out, but that meant disconnecting a lot of the central heating pipework which had been routed in front of the cylinder. I hadn't remembered that I had altered the central heating pipework last time, so the job was instantly easier. I managed to move a shelf out of the way and got the old immersion wiggled out of the cylinder and the new one wiggled in without having to remove the cylinder from the cupboard. Consequently the job took far less time than anticipated. The job was mostly done standing, and by the time I was putting the tools back in the van, I was pretty sore.
Back home I sat around and had coffee with my beautiful wife, and after lunch took Sigyn for a wander which didn't really ease my sciatica off. The rest of the afternoon has been spent doing not a lot. A pic of flowers today because the weather on the wander today was a bit grey and dreich.
