Today was Smart Meter Installation Day!

I have resisted having one for several years, but apparently the system in Scotland is due to change in June, so I was told there was no alternative. 

This chap worked away on his knees for nearly two hours. Before and after he had to turn off the electricity, I kept him supplied with coffees and Tunnock's tea cakes.

The strange thing was that as soon as he started fiddling about with the electrics, the smoke alarm started beeping and wouldn't stop...
