Rose Norwich Cathedral

This lovely thing only lasts a couple of days in such hot weather : the petals were starting to fall as I took this. So " gather we rose buds while you may tomorrow will soon be dying" eh!. (heard just now on my pal radio 4).
I've been heroicly watering/ feeding the garden in this drought and it's rewarding me : all the roses are blooming again and my Nicotiniana Sylvestrianis ( love that name realy rolls of the tongue ) is growing fast in spite of slugs--- you'll get to see them once they flower. My pal Paddie gave me seed, must be 20yrs ago and I've been growing them since: I realy like that continuity.
