Warning! Swear Words Below!
The Spanish press have become obsessed with different expressions containing the F-word which was used by Jude Bellingham towards a referee or, as he claims, towards himself, in a recent La Liga football match involving his team, Real Madrid.
It boils down to if F-you or F-off is different, substantially, and whether it can be self-directed or is, rather, always launched at another person, in this case, the referee. Jude could face a four match ban!
All dictionaries have been consulted and many English language experts, too, and the conclusion is that it is very strong and really directed towards another person and, also, much stronger than the Spanish ‘joder’ which, actually, means the same thing but is much lighter in offence stakes and used by nearly everyone in the street, everyday!
Funny!
No offence intended!!!
