Brindley cruises

We took a boat trip…. Which was lovely despite being more eventful than expected. The boat was juddering a bit as we set off and the captain commented that he thought there was something caught in the prop. But off we went thinking it would clear, unaware that the diagnosis was incorrect. Trying to take a sharp left turn the engine faltered and the bow hit the bank. Having moved on I noticed the engine cut out, the captain then disappeared and gradually more people became aware we were no longer under power. We were however still moving…. Towards another bank which we of course hit. A while late the captain returned covered in oil, announced there had been an air pocket in the engine then asked for a reminder on where he’d got to in the commentary and carried on.
H and I were the only ones listening to the commentary which was really interesting. I’d highly recommend the trip, despite the unexpected extras!
