My topsy-turvy life

One of my birthday presents from Aaron was tickets to the Telford Tigers v Bristol Pitbulls ice hockey. I've been meaning to go for ages so it was good to finally get round to it.

We didn't really know what to expect to be honest but Google told me that it was to be played in 3 periods of 20 minutes gametime. I also knew that body checking was allowed. What neither of us were expecting was a full on fist fight in the first period complete with helmets being knocked off and jersey over the head. Now, that's entertainment!

The first period was pretty stop-start with lots of penalties and the Pitbulls managing to score first. As the game went on though Tigers took more control and the game was more free-flowing, eventually running out comfortable winners. It was fun and I can see it's going again, although the real credit is to the Pitbulls fans making the journey to Telford on a freezing Sunday night in February.
