Magical Morning Light

There are some benefits to living in the frozen north, morning light on snow.  When the yard is in shadow and the first rays of sunlight sneak through the trees, the effect can be stunning albeit short lived.  Just as I was about to take the photograph, a chickadee landed, perfect!  In photography, as in life, timing is everything.
