Ages ago (1988.... from memory) I found an antique sewing machine table in a rubbish skip in Wellington. Took it back home and restored it with new oak veneer etc. I've never really liked it, have to say.
We dug up an old stereo of my folks and have found that it does a brilliant job of Battlestar Galactica DVD's - far better than the mini-systems you get today. It also came with a mahogany cabinet.
The point of all this story? The sewing table was being used to put the telly on and stereo under. Have new cabinet = time to sell sewing table that I never really liked. Any excuse to down-size.
