There may be trouble ahead

I am a member of Altrincham Garrick Society which is celebrating it's centenary this year. It has always been known as the Garrick Playhouse - there is a huge concrete block at the front of the building which says so. However it seems that the Board have decided that we are not a playhouse anymore as we host musicals and concerts as well as plays so they instructed the Theatre Manager to change the name on this year's brochures. There has been much muttering about and objections to the change as you can imagine, especially as the neither the membership nor the executive have been consulted. It should make for a lively discussion at the AGM on Thursday!
