After the walk

You can see 7 of the 30 Intermediate walkers who tackled a walk around Hexham today. I am glad to say that it was quite easy, although not the “flat” route that was billed. I managed to cope with the 6.4 miles (to my delight).

At the front of the table are Eric and Kay with Brian. The four at the other end are John, Jennifer, Deidre and Caroline.

I was chatting all the way. Everyone wanted to know about Julie’s progress and about Namibia.

I had a fascinating conversation about Conclave with Veronica who is a devout Catholic. She was very happy with the film because, to her mind, it showed that the Holy Spirit was able to guide the imperfect men to the correct decision.

Today I also saw a post on X from the USA where a judge had to explain to a lawyer that not all humans have XX or XY chromosomes.

I’m having a rest this evening with my knitting and rationing the news.
