Couture

After we had walked with Verity to her second day Rebecca and l went for breakfast: coffee and a pastry. We knew we had booked for a 12 noon entry to The Louvre so she suggested we walked there as it would only take about 45 minutes according to the map.
Don’t know if l have ever mentioned before how fast my daughter walks but we were there in 38 minutes. We joined the queue but were soon inside and we spent a good couple of hours looking at the couture clothes in the exhibition that is there until July. The mannequins were not sited all together and you had to roam different areas to find them.
They were cleverly placed against different collections and settings.
I have included some in a collage in extras to give you a taste of what we saw.( Had to be in colour to do them justice, even though l am doing a mono month).
We then went for lunch. French onion soup, had to be done.
We knew we would be passing the Notre Dame on our way back and l had the foolish notion we might go inside but the massive queues were prohibitive so we could only admire the restoration of the facade.
Back as quickly as we came, a quick freshen up then we walked to collect Verity who had enjoyed another energetic and demanding day.
I have put a few temporary extras on, mostly quirky images that caught my eye as l sped walked past.
