Not your average day.....

....started ordinarily enough, preparing project reports, but then the power, water, system, telephones, basically everything electrical or electrically driven went dead. First time I've ever witnessed that and our emergency generators failed too. Four hours and several millions of £'s later, power was restored. I'd hate to be the poor sod who had to explain why our fail safe didn't work.

Later, I got a text from Mrs Scobes to say she was going to stay over at Cat and Neil's and I should join them for tea. A couple of glasses of wine later and it was time for me to toddle home, but the lightning storm put me off riding my bike. I eventually made for home in the darkness and loved the night sky which was blue and gray with wisps; most unusual. Pity I didn't have a camera.
