A Visit to Primary 2/3

I got to spend an hour this morning in Finlay’s P2/3 classroom to see a numeracy session being taught. Finlay’s teacher (ex-police) kept the kids all excellently under control without a single raise of her voice - very impressive. Also impressive was the range of games, tools and techniques used to learn times tables, fractions and sums. Things have come on so far since I was at school! The kids were enthusiastic and seemed to be loving it and that is definitely the main thing. What a great start they are having to numbers and maths.
