A long way to go to come away with more pain than I started with! Why Scarborough ? because York Hospital could not handle my referral in a suitable time scale. I have had a biopsy taken from a white mark on the underside of my tongue. Didn't have any symptoms with it before today and the procedure was pain free. The aesthetic has now worn off and I have limited things I can eat or drink for 24hrs and thumping headache and an aching tongue. I may well not comment on your journals apologies in advance.
