Spring herald

A chilly wind this morning and back to the clouds.  Quick shop then dog walk.  Readeasy student in the afternoon.

Last night started watching Channel 4's Go Back to Where You Came From.  A group of Brits are taken with good security to Mogadishu in Somalia and Raqqa in Syria to see and hopefully comprehend the damage and effect on the people and the refugee camps and the experienced privation resulting from their displacement.  Some individuals empathise but some state 'authorities' should do something not realising the constant danger to life, total collapse of infrastructure and democracy. 

I do feel there's a strong element of voyeurism.  However if it softens the hearts of those who are fiercely anti-immigration and helps them comprehend the utter desperation of refugees  then maybe that's a small step forward.
