Most of the time I join the Innocent on the other side of this road when heading out to the facilities of the east, but as the dropped kerb I'd joined it on was blocked by the van of the workers who are fucking about with the junction I carried on over on my way back to go home via Bingham and Duddingston Row, noticing that the new pole is somewhat more away from the road edge and more in the way of moving people than it used to be. As with the impediment-crossings on the tramside path through Broomhouse, the road furniture design guidance which specifies that PGR has to be fifty centimetres away from the road to stop it scratching or being scratched by important motor cars has been followed without any appreciation of what remains for the pedestrians the crossing purportedly serves.
