I thought the day was going well until I turned the tap on to fill the kettle about 9.30 and there was no water.

Checked with my neighbour and said I would drive down the hill to buy a few bottles for us. She suggested walking because there had been a car crash the other side of Waterhead and lots of traffic would be diverting that way. I walked . . . in the rain . . . and she was right about the traffic.

I was lucky that the washer must just have finished when the water went off, but there was a problem when it came back on and the shower leaked . . . again. It must be the force of the water when it’s turned back on. Perhaps I need a new bathroom.
