Started amphibian surveys….

as it was warm, rising to 13° and dry and calm. The first site is the flighting pond in the wood behind the house. A walk up the waterfall showed nothing moving yet. Toads and Frogs both breed here. Unfortunately ,the Newt burn has dried out so don’t think I can do that as I had intended.
The second site is in the Braes of Glenlivet and up here it was 11° and blowing a hoolie! However it was sunny and colourful, so that is the blip. Also, negative results.
