Swinging

Another miserable, damp, grey day - though at least I got myself out for a run this morning, mainly because it was a few degrees warmer than it has been for the last few days. Decided to practise my "long exposure with ND filters" again, this time with the branches of the Chamaecyparis in the front garden. The silly thing was, to use my filter and use the app to calculate exposure - which was the object of the exercise - I had to use a very high ISO as I could easily have done the exposure without a filter. Still, it was meant to be practising the procedure, so I went ahead. Not a good plant to use - it seemed to flop all over the place as it swung in the wind - this crop from one of the shots does actually show the arcs I was hoping for, but much of the rest is either randomly blurred or recognisably stationary. Oh well, I tried. Need to travel further afield!!
