Our mossy wall

This is a bit of the wall that edges the grass-no-longer-lawn at the front of the house. I can watch it from the kitchen and often see birds flying in and out so the vegetation must be quite a food source in one way or another.

Despite all the moss, it is obviously not an old wall, not a well-constructed dry stone wall at all. We think it was pushed together at the time the house was built, using any stones from the original field that the builders could find. Still, it is gaining its own patina and character and I like it.
