Filling in When Needed

I had a restless night, it’s hard to breathe when your sinuses are clogged. Pretty sure it’s the flu. Mancil wanted to come over just to visit. We compared symptoms ( he had it earlier this month) and they match perfectly. So, I am going to be lazy and rest. We only got about an inch of snow. There were reports that the southern tip of our county had at least 6”. Hubby slept on his recliner just to reduce the risk of getting sick. He worked on financial paperwork and our taxes this morning. Having to take RMDs last year has resulted in us owing more taxes than we paid quarterly - grrr. I guess that’s why they make you withdraw the funds - they want their cut! I might break down and replace my 12 year old car this year. I’ll at least have a good use for the funds. This will probably be my last vehicle so we are taking our time with the research. Hubby is taking my place in the kitchen. Everything was cooked, all he had to do was cut it up for stew. He’ll clean up the kitchen as well. We have one load of laundry also. It is very cold and raw outside, 28°F again and breezy. I walked out on the front porch this morning. Was going to use kitty cat prints in the snow for my blip. I really have little appetite. Hubby ate pot pie from the freezer last night. I had a small dish of orange sherbet to cool my throat. Wishing you a helper when you need one. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “This is part of what a family is about, not just love. It's knowing that your family will be there watching out for you. Nothing else will give you that. Not money. Not fame. Not work.” - Mitch Albom
