One for the record
A mean spirited day despite the much warmer temperatures. The cloudy, drizzly conditions turned much meaner when we were out for our walk with some heavy rain.
I learned today that running before breakfast is not for me even though many commentators believe it actually might be better for you. On my five miler I had to walk 5 times and came home a little ragged around the edges. Breakfast and a cold shower made all the difference.
Beavered away at many little jobs this afternoon then enjoyed browsing some YouTube videos with a cup of tea. We’re out for dinner tonight with some new acquaintances who we’ve met through BearstedCAN. I’ll report back tomorrow.
Meanwhile today’s blip is pretty uninspiring, just like the weather. Most of our village is being dug up to replace gas mains with road closures and diversions along what seems to be every road. The zig zag pattern of this barriers made it mildly interesting and provided a bit of colour.
The other offering was of an out of focus new growth of an unidentified shrub in our neighbour’s front garden.
