You might not know this but in 1957 this day was Bank Holiday Monday and thus there were no night buses. My dad had to walk home from St Mary's after I had the good grace to appear at just gone 2 am weighing more than 8lb. Of course he wasn't in the labour suite but outside with a few Senior Service untipped.

I shall have a couple of beers to celebrate another trip round the sun.
