Red flowering gum

I believe this red flowering gum is a Western Australian variety, big but not huge blooms, planted considerately in the front garden of a house painted in dark colours in a nearby street. Begging to be photographed in the early summer evening of a drizzly day.

I am in the local, enjoying a red wine with M who is having a Guinness. We're exhausted as usual after two days of Margot. We're off out to dinner after this at the excellent local Italian.
