Bird's-eye View

And then there were 8... :o(
There are now only 8 mallardlings on Long Pond which is sad.
They venture quite far from their mother now, and there is only one place where they can get out of the pond now that the builders have come in and fixed all the cracks and broken bits of the pond's bank... Once the sandbags are gone, I'm not sure how they'll get out!?

I visited the Goosles and the injured gosling still looks unhealthy. It is behaving normally which is reassuring, but has quite a lump in its swollen throat which is less encouraging.

p.s. I've uploaded a confident robin (perching on a garden gate).
