By bus to Dundee to fit new handles to Ewan's windows. A little job neglected since the rest of the work was finished. It's the trouble of finding the right type of handles, or more precisely, finding the right hardware shop where an old guy called Jack can look at your photo of the broken handles and know exactly what you need and then disappear for 20 minutes while he roots around in the store to bring back an aged packet with the right thing.
It only took about half an hour so there was some lunch and chat before I headed back to the bus station. Along the way, there's two odd incredibly run down stair, between two decent looking shops, with ghost signs of former occupants.
