Budapest

Today we took the train from Tata to Budapest, just over an hour's train ride away.
We were pleasantly surprised by the brand new (and air conditioned) train.
We arrived on the Buda side of Budapest and first climbed the hill to the Royal Palace. Quite an impressive area of Budapest especially if you take into consideration the amount of destruction during several conflicts in the 20th century. This panorama is looking towards Pest on the other side of the Danube river.
Unfortunately on Monday and Tuesdays museums are closed... We did have a great lunch at Miró cafe, before walking down the hill, across the river and explored Pest.
Thanks to the lovely air conditioning in the train we cooled off on our way back to Tata.
