Japanese Daruma Doll
I'm supposed to have painted in the left eye when I've thought of a project and the right eye when I've done it. I need to think of a project.
Today was outstanding for the performance of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham. The content of the programme is all online if you look including the themes that Bourne wanted to emphasise so no point in my going over it all again. Enough to say that it was powerful, muscular and physical. Outstanding dance.
I thought I might not make it to the theatre in time when I encountered a queue on the M1 from the slip road, but 15 minutes later it was clear. Then, at Clifton South tram stop, we all had to get off because a man had urinated on the train. Actually, he had collapsed. I still got to Nottingham in good time. A neighbour let me have a sip of his water and the chaps at the end of the row bought me a clotted cream ice cream using my phone to pay.
