Cardiff Old and New

Today, I went into Cardiff to meet my lovely Mother in Law for lunch. We met at our usual lunch time destination; John Lewis's restaurant, and ending up spending a few hours there, eating a yummy lunch and just talking and talking. She really is the best Mum in Law anybody could wish to have and we are so blessed to have her as part of our family.
Once we went our separate ways, I had a look around a couple of shops. Saw loads of lovely things in Monsoon and White Stuff, shame payday is another few weeks away! I took this pic on The Hayes, heading back to the car park. This structure is outside the modern Cardiff Central Library and through it you can see the older buildings on Cardiff's Mill Street. I thought it made a nice contrast, only had my mobile phone on me to take the pic so quality not as good as I would like.
