Springtime Awakening
What a difference some warm weather makes.
I last visited The Savill Garden almost 2 weeks ago when apart from a few early spring flowers, including just a few clumps of snowdrops and snowbells, today the garden was clearly starting to wake up. The aforementioned snowdrops and snowbells (similar to snowdrops but generally bigger, leucojum) were now in abundance, the lawns were full of crocuses, and the camellia and rhododendron bushes were in bud, with some flowering.
There were even a few insects flitting around, such as this hoverfly enjoying some nectar from a fully open snowdrop.
