That's another bag in the project

"Shenanigans" seems to be a word that has gained a sort of retro-popularity in the last couple of years. A couple of colleagues at work are mildly obsessed with using it; and we have Jon and his excellent Auto Shenanigans channel on YouTube.  The modern usage seems to be more in the vein of 'adventures in having fun messing about with' or with my colleagues, 'skulduggery, bordering on malice', rather than its true meaning of mischief and perhaps a gentle but harmless prankishness. There is probably a YouTube channel for sewing shenanigans, and if there isn't, there should be. :-)

After work I set about with pins and tape and webbing, and in about two hours had turned my bit of carefully cut fire hose into a tool bag, large enough for my 12" adjustable spanner and assorted Allen wrenches and things, and tough enough to strap to a motorbike.  Although I did get better later on, most of the stitching would be laughed out of the first round of the Great British Sewing Bee, but it wasn't all my fault, with the needle unthreading itself from time to time, the fabric not feeding through properly, the bobbin getting tangled up...the presser foot actually unscrewed itself at one point too.

It looks terrible, but it's a prototype, and it works!  I promised to make one for bestie as well, perhaps once I've made myself a slightly better one.
