Trixie's Adventures

Lands End

Extremely wet and windy this morning so we had to wait until this afternoon before we could go off to 'Lands End' for another 'I Walk Cornwall'. We went to Lands End because Ann didn't think that the paths would be too muddy.

We've done the 'Lands End' walk a few times before and I know that there are lots of bunnies that frequent the cliffs there. I kept sticking my nose in the air and I could smell bunnies, so then I went zooming off in the direction of bunny scent. Unfortunately I couldn't find any bunnies to chase so I always came back to Ann. …........Unfortunately, I didn't always come back to Ann the minute she called. And the cliffs at Lands End are very high up in places and Ann was paranoid that I'd go running off and then topple of the edge of the cliff, so I had to be put back on my lead in a few places. Personally, I don't think I'm that silly, but Ann just kept telling me that 'it's better to be safe, than sorry.'

On the return route to the car park, we walked along the inland path so I was off lead for the whole of that bit. Mmmmmm................ that wasn't as exciting as the coast path, as the bunnies only seem to live on the edge of the cliffs. Grrrrrrr..............

…............And the best thing about this walk................... Ann didn't have to pay the extorinate parking fees because she has a 'locals' parking pass. Yay!

PS – The car park was half full or half empty but on the whole of our 4 mile walk, we only met a handful of people? Where does everyone go? Do they just make it as far as the cafe's and takeaways? At this time of year, half of the Lands End attractions aren't even open. It's a mystery!!!
