Black Day....

It started out a pretty ordinary day but ended with complete heartbreak.

Our dear beloved cat Livvie died today. It was all so sudden and unexpected, but nothing could have been done to change the outcome.

She had been her usual self all day. In and out of the house. Not too impressed with the weather. Eating well, sleeping, having her brush and usual fuss.

Just as she was having her last meal of the day, as we were all getting ready for bed, she howled and collapsed on the floor.

We got her to the emergency vets within 20 minutes. Once she'd been examined they said she had a blood clot. While she was there she went into cardiac arrest, so we said to let her go. There would be no coming round from all this trauma. Within an hour of her collapsing she was gone.

Words cannot express our shock. She was only about 5 and a half years old, so we weren't expecting her life to be so short. Totally numb....
